The Roaches and Sammy

Spent last Sunday at the Roaches with a lovely model call Sammy, her boyfriend Pete (who I kept calling Chris?) and Steve, what a great day... wet, windy and cold perfect for a wuthring Heights themed shoot. Sammy brought some great clothes that fitted well in to the brief we had spoken about previously (always good to plan). The Roaches had many great location to choose from and after a bit of a scout around we found a great spot.

I used a single speedlite  mounted on a monopod held by our perfect assistant and stand in Heathcliff Chris.... er I mean Pete (only joking Pete). Metering for the highlights such as the sky and then letting the flash on ETTL and 3 stops under power to fill.

Here is my first attempt, loved the red dress which had a good contrast with the background lifting the image,

I call this.... 'Where's Heathcliff'

Here two of the same image one with Sammy's dress straps removed to add a more period feel, what do you think?

  1. Wicked Jimbo, lovely shot just love that flowing hair. Something not quite right with the edge of the rocks though and cloning bottom right of the trees + can see nail varnish on toes.

Will put images on disk for you tomoz :-))
