David is an American born photographer working in New York City & Taos, New Mexico. He is an honors graduate of Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California (BA, 1981). David's studio & home in Taos were built to LEED certified standards for sustainability. Both his studio & home are entirely solar powered, use catchment water and are passive solar heated.

David's current work includes photographic projects in the deserts of the southwest U.S., the Salton Sea in southern California and documentary work along the Ganges River in northern India.

I have been looking at davids high speed photographs using various liquids in context with the product he is commissioned to photograph. I'm particularly impressed with the style and technical expertise such as the  Pepsi drinks adverts. there were for seven magazine ads, two sets were built , a glass was positioned in the centre of the set and a liquid was poured into the glass creating some splattering of liquid coming out in all directions,  resin models  were also made of objects within the drink made to look like the drink splashes.

Previous commisions:
Pepsi Cola, American Express, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Smirnoff , Mercedes-Benz, Bacardi, Unilever, Joseph, Seagrams, Canon, Domaine Chandon, Sony, Anheuser-Busch, Elizabeth Arden, Perrier, Time Warner, Absolut, Nabisco, ING, Suntory, Maybelline, Procter & Gamble, Citibank, Nivea, General Foods, Mobil, Oil, Agfa, Colgate-Palmolive, Loreal, Kodak, IBM, Johnson & Johnson

I will be linking this photographer in to the Coca Cola advertising product theme blog.
